DescriptionThe Bachelor of Social Science (Justice Studies) (Honours) program provides students with the opportunity for advanced studies in justice studies and criminology. The course enhances graduates' job prospects and is the major avenue for advancement to research-based higher degrees in these disciplines. Graduates have knowledge of advanced criminology theory; have enhanced methodological skills and understand the ethical, political, and social issues associated with the undertaking of research on crime and the criminal justice system; understand issues of policy and program development for criminal justice organizations and have completed fieldwork in a criminal justice agency; and have completed a research dissertation.
