DescriptionThis apprenticeship program is designed to provide apprentices with the theoretical principles and trade skills required for a career as an instrumentation and control technician. The Instrumentation and Control Technician program fulfills the in-school requirements and allows students the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical training necessary to complement on-the-job training.

The curriculum covers courses in safety, electrical principles, computer control systems and instrumentation. Apprentices also study fluid power systems, circuitry, calibration and discrete control devices. Lectures typically introduce a new area of study and are followed by practical learning where students demonstrate applied understanding and skills.
