Description | The primary goal of this program is to promote, in students, the capacity to explore, analyze, and convey effectively a world of ideas about music. This program is suited to those who have a serious interest in how music communicates meaning, both in terms of its own construction as well as in the way it is and has always been shaped by social and historical forces. Students may concentrate in history, or in theory, or choose a balance of the two. | | |
