DescriptionAnalysing the benefits that sports can offer to society, you will learn how to use a range of strategies and approaches to develop sports programmes, clubs, facilities and events within communities. Take part in field trips to local sporting venues such as Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucester Rugby and various public sector facilities including Leisure at Cheltenham and GL1 Leisure Centre. In a tour of the racecourse, this year’s students also met with the regional director of the Jockey Club to learn about the diversification of sporting venues, such as branching out to run music and comedy events.
