DescriptionDevelop the skills and experience you need to manage and develop sports events, facilities and people. Take part in trips to local sporting venues such as Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucester Rugby and various public sector facilities such as Leisure at Cheltenham and GL1 Leisure Centre. Students recently met with the regional director of the Jockey Club to learn about the diversification of sporting venues, such as branching out to run music and comedy events at sports venues.

Build your understanding of the industry through guests in lectures. This year’s guests have included: Kevin Smith, The Football People; Gordon Aitken, operations manager, Aspire's Indoor Tennis Centre and Sports Park; and Adrian Pritchard, regional director for Hollywood Bowl.
