DescriptionReligion and Theology at Redeemer is designed to help you deepen your understanding and living of the Christian faith by exploring its Biblical roots, theological framework, missional thrust, ethical calling, historical development, and global context. This lays a solid foundation for further Biblical and theological studies at seminary or graduate studies. It is an excellent way to enter a career in ministry, whether in the church or in a Christian organization. A major or minor in Religion and Theology also complements and creates a strong foundation for a career in social work, psychology (especially counselling), education, and business.

Religion and Theology courses will prepare and equip you to defend your faith while also benefiting from the rich diversity of denominations that make Redeemer such a vibrant place to learn. Studying the Bible, church history, theology, mission and ministry, world religions, and ethics allows you to work alongside professors who have spent years in various forms of ministry in a variety of settings. You can volunteer for the numerous ministry opportunities in Hamilton, and also participate in service-learning trips locally or around the world.
