| Description | Our sociology BA teaches you essential hands-on skills while you develop the research ability and theoretical knowledge that allows you to understand the effects of social issues on society. Our sociology courses approach the subject from a global perspective to explore the real-life issues that address social change and movement. Using some of the most innovative teaching in the UK, you'll learn by studying, finding and extracting both macro and micro information, using everything from surveys to in-depth interviews. Once you have your findings, you'll learn to develop concrete arguments about issues facing contemporary society in a confident matter. You'll also take part in a work placement where you'll have the chance to work in local authorities, third sector organisations and other NGOs to develop your professional experience. | | |
