Description | Our degree explores the issues of public health from a national and international perspective. You will analyse and evaluate environmental and public health problems in scientific, technical and managerial terms, while developing an informed, critical and imaginative attitude.
During the course you will explore how localised health issues impact upon communities globally and discover how pandemics can affect local communities facing political environmental and social challenges. Our students graduate as professional practitioners who meet the ten key areas of public health practice. Qualified practitioners are vital to the delivery of the Health Improvement Agenda (set out by the CIEH-Health Development Agency), which has opened up many career opportunities within the sector. | | |
