Prerequisites NotesApplicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed high school. ELA30-1 and BIO 30 are recommended. They must be Registered EMRs with the Alberta College of Paramedics with up-to-date immunizations and training in the Heart and Stroke Foundation Health Care Provider Level C CPR. They must pass a criminal record check and hold a valid driver's licence with no more than six demerits.

DescriptionPre-hospital care is an exciting career with growing job possibilities. You'll gain knowledge and learn skills to provide pre-hospital care to the sick and injured. In less than a year you’ll get a well-rounded education that prepares you to join the workforce and start making a difference!

The combination of online and face-to-face instruction creates a flexible learning environment. This course is considered full-time. Learn how to assess patients to provide appropriate care. During the six month program, about 22 days will be spent in class in Camrose learning technical skills with fellow students. Learning is enhanced with ambulance and hospital practicums
