DescriptionMechanical engineering is perhaps the most versatile of the engineering disciplines. It deals with machinery; manufacturing, energy, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, materials, and transportation technology; bioengineering; and other applications.

Carleton University’s Mechanical Engineering program emphasizes engineering fundamentals and challenging laboratory and design work.
