Description | The Department of Physics at the University of Toronto, together with the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, gave birth to the Engineering Physics program in 1934 (called Engineering Science since 1965). The Physics Option continues to attract students with a keen aptitude for physics who see the creative potential for combining this with an engineering degree. Graduates appreciate the high degree of flexibility provided to them in terms of the design of their program across a wide spectrum of theoretical and experimental physics courses.
