Description | The Adventure Management diploma provides students with a broad background in the management of adventure activities and the opportunity to develop their personal adventure sport skills. Students will gain a good understanding of the adventure industry and how it is managed as well as a solid foundation and proficiency in adventure activities.
The TRU Adventure Management diploma focuses on topics such as: the adventure industry, the wilderness environment, communication and marketing, accounting, expedition planning and leadership, legal liability, and risk management. The program also focuses on activities such as backpacking, canoeing, hiking, ice climbing, mountaineering, rock climbing, river rafting, ski touring, sea kayaking, photography, whitewater kayaking, and wilderness first aid. | | |
