DescriptionThe Post-Secondary Sub–Committee of the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) is pleased to partner with IAHLA and NVIT to deliver a two-year diploma program designed specifically for Band Education Coordinators. The program offers opportunities for Education Coordinators to develop their skills in vital professional areas such as policy development and application, career and academic counseling, financial planning, communication and computers, while enhancing their understanding of the broader educational, social and political contexts in which they work. The diploma program consists of twenty courses (3-credits each), delivered in a flexible, intensive schedule to make it possible for working individuals to participate. We are pleased to acknowledge the support of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada for components of this program. . The courses offered in partnership include tuition, books and a small travel subsidy upon course completion. An overall minimum GPA of 2.00 is required.
