Description | The Indigenous Studies program promotes an understanding of Indigenous peoples, their traditions, aspirations, and participation in local, national and international communities. The program welcomes Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, and is inclusive of First Nations, Inuit and Métis perspectives.
In this long-standing program (dating back to 1975), the possibilities for experience-based learning are unparalleled. Courses are available on topics including Anishinaabe and Cree language and culture, politics and law, social justice, traditional environmental knowledge, and health and wellness.
