| Description | The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a full range of graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science (MSc), Master of Actuarial Science (MActSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The department is known for its small class sizes, supportive atmosphere and accessibility of faculty. At the same time, the faculty are engaged in vigorous research programs. The department sponsors numerous colloquia, and supports several visiting scholars.
Graduate courses are offered in all areas, as well as advanced courses leading to research options. This allows students to obtain a range of knowledge for potential in multiple career paths.
