Description | The Community Support Provider is a four-month certificate program that prepares individuals to work in the human services sector. Graduates will work as a team member helping individuals with mental health, family life or intellectual challenges in a variety of settings. Community Support Providers are key paraprofessionals that help support people of all ages.
A caring, friendly nature, consideration and patience are essential as you work with people from diverse backgrounds. Some courses in this program may also be credited to the Education Assistant or Early Childhood Education programs. If you want to make a real difference in the lives of others, this program may be for you. Someone, somewhere, needs comfort, compassion, guidance or a listening ear. | | |
