Description | The only undergraduate degree of its kind in Canada, the Community, Economic, and Social Development (CESD) program is available as either a three-year or a four-year Honours program, it integrates several different disciplines, including CESD, Social Work, Sociology, Geography, Economics, and Business Administration. The program includes a 150- hour and a 300-hour field placement in third- and fourth-year, respectively. Students develop a holistic perspective of the world around them and develop the knowledge and understanding to advocate for positive change, fight for economic and social equality, and defend human rights. Our program has a special focus on northern, rural, remote, and Indigenous populations. Graduates are eligible for certification by the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) and the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers (CANDO) | | |
