Requirements for Canadian Students

A completed application form (it is important to indicate reasons for pursuing graduate studies in the space provided on the application form). An official transcript from the candidate's undergraduate institution. Two letters of reference, at least one of which must attest to the candidate having at least two years of full-time work experience after an undergraduate degree at a significant level of responsibility (N.B. The School invites applications from outstanding graduates with no full-time experience. Such applicants may be admitted to the full-time program on an exceptional basis.). The score from writing the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). For foreign candidates whose first language is other than English, the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). If less than 35 applications are received, the Graduate Admissions Committee will use the above information to predict the candidate's ability to perform at the post-graduate level of study and there potential benefit of such study to the candidate. In the event that more than 35 candidates have applied, the Committee's task will be to rank the applicants and choose the top 35, provided that all 35 are judged capable of post-graduate study. As a guideline to applicants, the Admissions Committee normally considers the following performance profile as suitable for admission to the M.B.A. program, an undergraduate degree with B (or second class honours) standing, a minimum of at least 500 on GMAT, and at least two years relevant full-time work experience. The University is prepared to admit a small number of mature students who do not possess an undergraduate degree. The applicants will be appraised by the following criteria: two letters of reference, at least one of which must attest to the candidate having a minimum of ten years of experience in business or the equivalent with notable success as considered by the Graduate Admission Committee.

Procedure for Canadian Students

Entry to the program normally occurs at two times of the year, April and September. Application deadlines are January 31 for April admission and May 31 for September admission. Should any of the 35 positions be vacant after the May 31 deadline, applications will continue to be accepted up until September 1 for September admission. In exceptional circumstances, individuals who apply before November 15 may be admitted for the winter session beginning in January.
