Requirements for Canadian Students

The minimum admission requirements are completion of a four year bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Although a degree in any field is sufficient, it is advisable that students have some exposure to introductory statistics and mathematics at the university level. Applicants should have the equivalent of at least a B (second class honours or 75%) average and a GMAT score of at least 550. A TOEFL score of at least 105 is required if English is not the first language.

I do not have a business undergraduate degree. Can I still apply for the MBA?

Yes! We accept students from many different backgrounds, not just business. Students who have never studied business before will not be at a disadvantage in the program. You will undertake study in all different areas of business, such as accounting, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, international business and human resource management. The small class sizes and the community feeling of the program will ensure personal attention and lots of opportunity to participate, contributing to your sense of understanding of the topic.

Procedure for Canadian Students

Applications must be received before May 1 of the year of entry (March 1 for international students) and will be considered when received until the program is full. To be considered, applicants must submit a completed application form, official university transcripts and confirmation of all degrees received, three letters of reference, GMAT and TOEFL scores, and a non-refundable application fee of $140.00.

How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?

Once we receive a completed application, the application review process for the MBA program will typically take up to four weeks. Application packages that are submitted with all required documents will typically receive a decision earlier than applications with documents submitted separately. You will receive an emailed notice of our decision from the Graduate Programs Office as well as a formal decision letter from the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

If I apply early, do I have a higher chance of being accepted?

All Goodman programs accept applications on a rolling basis until our programs are full. Admission requirements always remain the same, however, applicants that apply earlier are more likely to secure a space in one of our graduate programs.
