Requirements for International Students

You can contact us directly for a brochure and registration form by the address or numbers listed above, or by e-mail at ice@berlitz.ca. You can also visit our website at www.berlitz.ca for an online application form. When the registration form has been completed, you can fax or mail the form with a 10% deposit and registration fee to your Berlitz ICE Centre of choice or your local agent. It is recommended that you register at least six weeks before your desired course start date as it may take approximately six weeks to obtain your visa. When you have been accepted, we will send you a course confirmation letter, which must be presented to a Canadian embassy if you are applying for a visa. For information regarding visa requirements, please contact your nearest Canadian consulate. You are also required to make arrangements for your own health insurance upon entry into Canada. If required, insurance can be arranged at your local Canadian Berlitz ICE Centre.

Procedure for International Students

On your first day at the Berlitz ICE Centre, you will complete registration, take a proficiency level test to determine your language skill level and to set your course goals, and receive a welcome orientation. You will receive a Berlitz Welcome Kit, which will inform you of our full range of services, hours of operation, and provide learning tips so you receive the maximum benefit from your Berlitz ICE learning experience.

Course lengths can vary from one week to ten months; whichever option suits your needs. The ICE program is available in two different formats, intensive or semi-intensive. Our Super Intensive program includes six hours of daily class instruction, totalling 30 hours per week. Our Intensive course includes four hours of class a day, totalling 20 hours of instruction per week. You are asked to arrive by the Sunday before your first Monday class so you will have time for registration, proficiency testing, and orientation on your first day.
