Description:

You are an individual with creative flair and a passion for animation. Taking the 3D Animation program is the perfect way to launch your career in professional animation production for film, TV, and video. Fundamental to your training is the exploration of real world projects, time management, reaching milestones, and working to deadlines. These skills combined with technical and artistic training will allow you to complete a professional portfolio and demo reel relevant to your specific career or academic goals. You will graduate with the skills necessary for entry level positions in 3D production, such as animation, modeling, and technical directing, for a wide variety of industries that include film, TV, video, games, new media, education, military, health care, architecture, merchandising, and marketing.

Topics covered include drawing and art skills, art theory, classical animation, 3D computer animation, 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, editing, visual effects, graphics, cinematography, digital non-linear video production, and character design. You will train using the tools and techniques required for professional production work. Advanced character design for various genres and character types, expressing mood through motion and visual storytelling are covered in higher level courses.
