The Journeyman Upgrading course offers welders the opportunity to enhance their existing skills by receiving instructions and practice on plate, using various procedures and processes such as shield metal arc welding (SMAW,) gas metal arc welding (GMAW,) gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW,) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW.)

Applicants must be either: the holder of a valid Journeyman Welder Certificate, a third year apprentice, or a welder who is challenging the Alberta Journeyman Certificate. |
