A compulsory work placement in your final year will involve spending a minimum of three weeks – sometimes more – working with an external media company. This could be a TV channel or radio station, and will allow you to get stories broadcast in a professional context while still studying.
Previous placement providers have included TV placements with the BBC, ITV, Made in Leeds, That's Manchester and Kirklees Local TV. Students more interested in radio have spent time with stations including BBC Radio 4, Pulse and Radio Aire.
