Description:

A veterinary assistant is an integral part of an animal care team. They are versatile team members in a constantly dynamic environment. Their variety of knowledge is appreciated on the job, from the moment the client enters to assisting the veterinary team in its treatment and care of the patient. The Veterinary Assistant program at CDI College will prepare students to find employment in veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, zoos, pet product/supply stores, grooming businesses and more.

Prerequisites:

    Students must: have high school graduation or equivalent, or mature student status; pass the college's admissions test; have a Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act); and have an Immunization report (form provided by the College).
