|Description:||Sheridan's Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma provides students to work in excellent facilities with many of todays current technology. Students will be able to work with these new technologies by getting hands-on experience in the lab as well as apply theory from the chemical sciences.
Environmental services, energy, health care, are all rapidly growing sectors that rely on chemical analysis and research – and they all have one thing in common; they need laboratory technician college graduates with specialized skills for the chemical lab. The Chemical Lab Technician diploma program begins with a solid academic foundation with courses in organic and inorganic chemistry, calculus and advanced science. Once in the workforce, the duties of graduates may include: analyzing samples, preparing samples and solutions, making and purifying chemicals, and technical sales for laboratory equipment and supplies.
