The MSc International Security and Risk Management will provide industry-accredited security management qualifications to enhance your career, increase market value and demonstrate professional development. This Masters programme is delivered through online distance learning, which enables learners to combine their studies with work-based learning. There are three exit points – Postgraduate Certificate; Postgraduate Diploma and the MSc.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5]

International applicants will need to have achieved an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component. Applicants who have successfully studied at this level in the Medium of English will be deemed eligible.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    Applicants are required to have: a good Honours degree in a relevant discipline or appropriate professional qualification(s); or HND/HNC and relevant experience; or equivalent international qualifications. Those without the formal qualifications above are encouraged to apply if they have relevant experience in the sector. You will be considered on an individual basis where appropriate experience is taken into account. The University mechanism for this is called Recognised Prior Learning which includes experiential learning. You need to state that you are applying based upon RPL. You may also apply for RPL to exempt you from some of the studies on the Masters course; to do this we will have a dialogue with you to help you through the process. Both UK/EU and International students may be available for a University scholarship towards the cost of the fees.
