The LLM (Master of Laws) is suitable for individuals already working in the legal sector, as well as those looking to increase their knowledge in this area. Outside of term time you will have the opportunity to volunteer in the University?s Legal and Financial Advice Clinic. There you will have the chance to put the knowledge and skills you have gained on the course into practice. The Clinic will allow you to engage directly with the legal profession, and work with a number of reputable law firms.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5]

The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    Applicants are required to have a minimum 2:2 Honours degree in any discipline, or a relevant professional qualification such as the Institute of Legal Executives and others that include some element of law. For applicants who do not possess formal qualifications, relevant professional experience may be taken into account via the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)/Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) mechanism (University regulations will apply).
