Description:

The Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction offered jointly by Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College is for students with an idea for a book or for aspiring authors. The program guides students through the process of transforming an idea into a polished manuscript. The degree is a combination of short intense on-campus sessions with ongoing one on one mentoring by professional non-fiction writers, and professors. This two-year limited residency program consists of lectures, seminars, panels, and workshops designed to deepen the understanding of the art and craft of writing creative non-fiction.

  • Four-year bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study.
  • Degree granted by university of recognized standing.
