Description:

This programme is validated by St George's and, since 2011, has accepted students from many countries, including the United States, Canada, the UK, Greece, Cyprus, other EU member states, Lebanon and Israel. Students on this programme are based in Cyprus for the first two years, during which they study the clinical sciences, following the St George?s problem-based learning curriculum, and undertake clinical placements at leading hospitals in Nicosia and Limassol.

Clinical placements in the third and fourth years of the programme take place in Israel and the United States - at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, the largest hospital in Israel, and Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. These are the among the first of a small number of partners that have been selected to deliver the clinical years of the programme in a high-quality training environment, and further clinical placement sites will become available as the course develops. Students who complete this programme will earn a degree from St George's, University of London, providing a firm foundation on which to build a career in the global healthcare sector. While the St George's MBBS is recognised by many different countries, applicants from outside of the EU/EEA are advised to check with their own individual national authorities if they wish to practise in their own country.
