Description:

The Diploma programme is accredited by the Association for Family Therapy and graduates are eligible for registration with AFT as Systemic Supervisors. The one-year course covers all aspects of supervisory and educational practices which foster the development of professional abilities and standards in supervision, teaching, training and organisational consultation.

A variety of educational contexts will offer you opportunities for learning through experience, reflection and reflexive dialogues about supervisory practice. These include practicing live supervision with students on a clinical placement as well as a consultation on your supervisory practice within different organisational contexts. You will be required to attend for one day a fortnight for supervisory practice within a clinical placement, plus five full day workshops each year, and occasional group and individual tutorials. You can opt to study for an additional year to undertake a dissertation leading to a Masters.
