Program Information

School:Redeemer University College
Field of Study:Social Work
Description:Social Work emphasizes a belief in the dignity and worth of human beings and respect for individual differences. It includes an active concern for social justice, anti-oppressive practice, and cultural pluralism. Social work explores bio-psycho-social-spiritual variables that affect individual development, examines the interactions among individuals and between individuals and social systems, and intervenes to enhance the well-being of people by shaping social policies, services, and resources.

Social Work studies the familiar and the unfamiliar in social life and is a helpful way to deepen our understanding of and appreciation for the rich and diverse character of human behaviour lived before God and each other.
