|Description:||The BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme is designed to develop a grasp of the key concepts of computing, software and systems. It provides a deep understanding of the underpinning theoretical foundations of data and computation, along with developing highly transferable computational thinking, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a broad range of software development skills.
You will also be exposed to the state-of-the art theories, technologies and research that will shape and transform society over the next decade. At a higher level, this programme will prepare you for graduate work by showcasing the impact and importance of computing and technology to the UK and global digital economy; the UK Government estimated that the digital sector alone contributed around £105 billion in gross value added (GVA) to the UK in 2011, with IT and telecoms the fastest growing economic sector.
