Description:

Our BA(Hons) English and History will give you a deep understanding of the relationship between history and literature over time. Specialist pathways in English include Contemporary Literature, American Literature and Children's Literature, while in History you will study events in different eras worldwide medieval, modern and contemporary history in Britain, Ireland, Europe, Russia and America. Topics such as the history of 20th-century Superpowers offer a fascinating insight into key historical periods. You will develop into an expert reader of primary texts, gain advanced skills in traditional and multimedia research, and become an excellent writer able to respond clearly and intelligently to a broad range of issues. You will develop into an independent thinker, communicator and critic, ideally placed for a rewarding career or further study.
