Studying Biomedical Science provides you with the scientific knowledge underpinning an understanding of the biology of disease, and its application to diagnose disease and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.

The BSc(Hons) Biomedical Science at UWE Bristol offers a hands-on approach to learning. Beginning with a strong foundation in modern biomedicine, including basic scientific core subjects, the study of specialist biomedical science subjects is integrated through a study of the biology of disease. This provides a broad knowledge base, as well as the flexibility to develop expertise in the areas which interest you most. Working at the cutting-edge of biomedical science and using state-of-the-art equipment, our focus on the application of science in the real-world will prepare you for a variety of exciting careers.
