Taught in partnership with Hartpury College (UWE) this unique course integrates good knowledge of business management with specialist subject knowledge within animal management.

This course offers you personal, professional and academic development for advancement in your chosen career and will enable potential industry contacts to be made. In recent years there has been considerable growth in the animal industry and an increasing need for well qualified employees to work in this sector. This degree level course aims to provide the personal, academic and technical skills necessary for such a career. It is a vocationally focused course that will enable you to engage in work-based learning throughout your course.

On successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to continue your studies for a further year to complete an Honours Degree at Hartpury College in Animal Management or progress to specialist areas such as animal behaviour, nutrition or veterinary nursing. Alternatively, this course will prepare you for a variety of careers in the animal industry including employment by animal welfare and wildlife organisations, zoological work, and supervisory posts in animal retail organisations or animal product sales.
