Description:

Physical Geography focuses on the understanding, assessment and modelling of physical interactions and processes that govern the environment and landscape. You will examine modern environmental phenomena, the long-term evolution of the landscape and the impact humans have had on it, particularly in terms of past and future climate change. You will also gain an understanding of the dynamic and interactive nature of the Earth through historical and process-based approaches. Fieldwork is an important part of this degree and you will take full advantage of day-long and residential, national and overseas field trips, and Manchester’s enviable location only two hours travel from four National Parks.
