By working in this sector, you are involved in managing other people’s money and assets. This can be in a direct way, such as working for the investment arm of one of the UK’s high street banks or you may be advising individual clients about how to invest their money. To build a successful career, you need to combine an expert knowledge of the sector and its specialist products with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. This is a sector where trust and professional reputations are important. This degree, which assumes no prior knowledge of the industry, is designed to develop your high-level transferable skills and to equip you with the knowledge and understanding needed to succeed in banking and finance.
