Description:

Transport is the lifeblood of successful economies. Our journey to work, business- related travel and the movement of goods require safe, efficient and reliable transport. Modes used include air, sea, rail, road and pipeline whilst airports, ports, rail and bus terminuses, warehouses and distribution centres act as nodes within transport networks.

Transport and logistics managers aim to make sure that goods can flow successfully through the supply chain. Other equally important players in a business are the logistics analysts, customer service managers and purchasing managers. Transport operators ensure that our rail, bus and coach services are run safely, efficiently and on time.
