Description:

In today’s multicultural society, religion plays a key role, influencing how many of us live and the culture around us. This course focuses on six world religions and explores the links between religion, education and other aspects of today’s society. It is ideal if you’re aspiring to become a teacher, work with young people or within the community or even prepare for further academic study.

We’ll look in-depth at six world religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism as well as ethics. We’ll also explore contemporary society to get a better understanding of social policy. There are options to study related topics, such as philosophy of education, and also opportunities to tackle vocationally focused topics such as safeguarding and leadership.
