Description:

We live in an increasingly globalised world. Organisations and governments are looking for people who understand how decisions are made across economic, social and political institutions. This course aims to help you critically engage with issues such as conflict resolution, the growth of democracy and development and international systems of governance.

Our lecturing team will give you the opportunity to explore the factors influencing social and political change. The lecturers will draw on their research expertise in ways that could stimulate and inspire you, and you’ll be encouraged to develop your own debating and research skills in a supportive environment too. We want to get you active in the political sphere, so we’ll give you the chance to take a work placement in your second year to gain crucial insights into the professional and political world. You might be working with an elected representative, charitable organisations, local government, media or an educational institution.
