Description:The archaeology program at Laurentian highlights the Indigenous past in Ontario, with opportunities for fieldwork and laboratory analysis of artifacts from sites in the region.

A six week field course is offered every second year during the summer. It is an intensive course that focusses on instruction in field methods. In addition, students visit local museums and heritage sites. Guest speakers include archaeologists who work in different domains within the province such as government, private sector, and museums.

For the B.Sc. stream 1 advanced functions, and 2 sciences or, 1 science and 1 math are required as well. Ontario secondary school students who apply for admission to first year at Laurentian University must present an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), as well as at least six grade 12 4U/4M courses (as specified in each program listing) with the minimum grade requirements.
