Description:

Equip yourself for a successful career in Human Resource Management. By drawing on the principles of multiple disciplines, including business, psychology and sociology, you will learn to identify and analyze people-related problems, and develop solutions that strengthen organizations. Students who successfully complete the major and maintain at least two consecutive years of student membership in the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC & Yukon have the option of being exempt from writing the National Knowledge Exam component of obtaining their CPHR designation.

Build credibility and on-the-job skills by opting for the Co-operative Education option. Combine study semesters with four- eight, or twelve-month paid work terms, offered in regional, national, and global firms. Positions are available in all major/minor specialization areas and in varied industries. These opportunities provide you with valuable experience and boost your career prospects.

Applicants are required to have: B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, the prerequisites for MATH 141, the prerequisites for ENGL 105, and one other Approved Grade 12 course with a minimum B grade.

  • CanTEST [min. 4.5] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88]
