Description:Cytotechnology teaches students to prepare, analyze and screen cell samples for evidence of disease, especially cancer. This is a very specialized field where less than 30 people graduate in Canada each year.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Biology 
  •  Grade12 Chemistry 
  •  Grade12 Pure Mathematics  or  Grade12 Mathematics 

Applicants must have 60% in each of English 30-1, Pure Math 30 or Math 30-1, Chemistry 30, and Biology 30.

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]

ELP Requirement is one of the following: 1.TOEFL IBT (Internet Based) - 83 (23 in the Speaking component, 20 in the Reading component, 20 in the Listening component, 20 in the Writing component) OR 2. IELTS (Academic Format) - 6 (with minimum band scores for each component - 6.5 in the Speaking component, 6.0 in the Reading component, 6.0 in the Listening component, 6.0 in the Writing component).
