Description:

The mixture of English Literature and Creative Writing will help you become both a critical and creative writer. You will be mentored by published authors in both fields such as Professor John Hughes, famous for Invisible Now: Bob Dylan in the 1960s, and author Tyler Keevil, winner of the Journey Prize and the People’s Choice 2014 Wales Book of the Year Award.

You can also be published in journals such as the New Writing series, our annual undergraduate anthology and Show Don't Tell, our recently launched, student-led creative writing magazine. You can soak in the exciting atmosphere of the Cheltenham Literature Festival and get involved by interviewing contributors, reviewing events, volunteering and blogging about it. Internships are also available. Three students are completing an internship on 'Editing a Renaissance Play for a Twenty-First-Century Audience', transforming their chosen scene into a modern textual edition.
