Description:

Nursing is a very rewarding profession with excellent career and development prospects. This course enables you to meet diverse professional challenges of nursing and develops you into an adaptable, flexible, reflective and compassionate practitioner.

This Adult Nursing course runs in 2016/17, with start dates in February and September.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  • 3 of   English  or   Science  or   Mathematics 
It is essential to have at least 5 GCSEs at grade A*–C including English Language, Mathematics and Science, or specified equivalents. Must have certificates at point of interview.
Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0]
Application Notes : Applicants with English as a foreign language are required to have an IELTS score of 7.0 overall, with no component lower than 6.5. Pre-sessional English is available.

Caring experience essential. This can be paid or voluntary experience that relates to caring for adults. You will also be required to attend a selection event which provides detailed information about the course and assesses numeracy, literacy and aptitude as part of the selection process. Satisfactory health clearance and criminal records disclosure is also required. You will also need to sit a maths test as part of the selection process.
