School:Middlesex University
Faculty:Bachelor of Science
Degree:Bachelor; Honours
Field of Study:Nurse Midwife/Nursing Midwifery
Description:Midwifery is an extremely rewarding career and yet there is a shortfall of qualified professionals to meet a growing demand. Our degree offers partnerships with many of London's most prestigious NHS hospitals and leads to professional status as a registered midwife.

As a leading provider of midwifery training, our degree offers a perfect mix of theory and practice. 50% of the course is practical and carried out in our partner NHS hospitals - which include some of London's leading maternity units. Many of our graduates also start their careers with their placement host. The theoretical component prepares you for every aspect of the midwife's role, from learning the essential skills required to support families to prepare for parenthood to developing a thorough knowledge of antenatal and postnatal care. Upon graduation you will be armed with the confidence to offer counselling, guidance and care to women at all stages of pregnancy, from the initial hospital visit through to the 28th day following birth.
