Program Information

School:Redeemer University College
Field of Study:Physical Education Teaching and Coaching
Description:Physical Education at Redeemer is more than just fun and games. It explores human movement in a way that honours how you were made. You will come to a deeper understanding of the human body, while learning how to help others share your enjoyment of sports and play. Human movement, play, games, sports and athletics are seen as God’s gifts for His people that are to be developed and enjoyed. In physical education, you will learn much about the human body and how it moves, but you will also learn how to help others share an enjoyment of sport, play and health and well being.

At Redeemer, we not only teach you about physical education, but put your learning to use outside of the classroom. We have excellent learning and practice facilities, including a kinesiology lab, that are used to aid your learning so that you will have the opportunity to graduate with hands on experience and “job ready”. Our focus is on understanding knowledge from a Christian world view. There are many opportunities for bible studies and individual mentorship to encourage and foster your faith formation. Specific to the classroom, students will have the opportunity to explore their chosen vocation with respect to scripture and their calling as disciples of Christ.
