Program Information

School:Redeemer University College
Field of Study:Music, General
Description:At Redeemer University College, we begin with the belief that music is a gift from God, made possible through God’s creation and sustaining care. When we make or encounter music we experience an art form that depends on physical vibrations (part of God’s creation) to produce tone and combinations of melodies, rhythms, timbres, and textures. Studying music at Redeemer will put into all this into practice as you take lessons, practice, perform, write compositions and develop your musical gifts and talents to the highest level possible.

Take private lessons in brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion or voice with world-class performers and teachers. You will study music theory, history, analysis and the craft of music-making in composition and performance throughout the history of our ever-changing world. As a student at Redeemer, you have great opportunities to be involved in music performance in the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Kammer Musik Ensemble or one of three worship teams along side your new musical friends and colleagues who share the passion for the art of music-making.
