|Description:||Tourism and hospitality is the largest industry in the world, and possibly one of the most exciting ones to work in! With a diploma in International Hospitality Management from Holland College, you’ll be ready to manage all the behind-the-scenes details that make a restaurant, resort, hotel, or nightclub a great experience for customers. From the front desk to food and beverage—you’ll be ready to handle it all.
Your training will combine theory and practical, hands-on experiences in both management and technical skills, so you can hit the ground running in your first workplace. Every aspect of the program was designed with input from the industry, ensuring you’ll meet international standards of excellence. Your practical experience will include working and learning in the Lucy Maud Dining Room, and participating in numerous industry-related events. These events give you the added bonus of building yourself a network of industry contacts. As part of the program, you will complete a mandatory term of paid internship in a work environment related to your field of study. The placement is a minimum of 500 hours over the summer between your first and second year. The internship placement officer and program instructors work to ensure you are ready for this employment.
