Description:

The Associate Degree in Arts - Archaeological and Cultural Resource Management specialization emphasizes classroom- and field-based learning where students gain valuable applied research skills and experience in the growing field of archaeology and cultural resource management. The Northwest region and First Nations communities provide the rich environment to learn about cultural heritage and interpretation, archaeological and cultural assessment, and how that applies to tourism, museums and curation, and community cultural resource management.

This is the only program of its kind in the province and is transferable to other post-secondary institutions. Students who decide to further their education in this field may transfer to Cultural Resource Management certificate programs at Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria, or other Bachelor of Arts degree programs.
